"Quite possibly the best I have stayed in. Not only is the old Stables lovely and finished to a high standard with every appliance you need and all the cutlery etc are a fantastic quality but the hosts are superb, very friendly and very accommodating. I can certainly recommend this place to stay and when I’m back in Bristol it will be my first option too."

"A very sweet place just a short bus ride from downtown Bristol. Peaceful and well tended, I had a wonderful stay in this lovely airbnb. Stephanie and Chris - the hosts - thought of everything you could need during your stay and outfitted it with satiny linens, high-end appliances, and a beautifully equipped kitchen. The garden is charming and inviting and a delightful place to drink a glass of wine after a day of touring. Chris and Stephanie are great communicators and offered ideas of ways to enhance my stay. They were quick to respond to my questions and were gracious and attentive hosts. In short, amongst the best accommodation experiences I’ve had.."

"Just perfect! I stayed while on a business trip. It is an amazing space, extremely clean, comfy and very well equipped. The views are breathtaking and just made the stay so much more than I was expecting. Private parking was such a bonus in Bristol. I can't recommend this place enough and would happily return. "How much function and comfort can you pack into a small space? This little gem, tucked away with views over fruit trees and rooftops has it all. Incredibly well equipped kitchen/diner on the ground floor; lovely, comfy lounge with those views on the first, and a nest of a bed tucked up on a mezzanine above - all with the added bonus of off street parking which in itself is a luxury in Bristol, and you've got the perfect package for a luxurious few nights away."

"The accommodation was very comfortable and equipped to a high standard with many of the fixtures and fittings clearly brand new. Private parking on site was a real bonus. Communication with Stephanie was excellent - she is a very friendly and helpful host. We particularly enjoyed sitting in the lovely orchard garden in the afternoons - a real oasis of calm."

"We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here in The Stables and it has been lovingly decorated and furnished to a high standard. Lovely welcoming touches off the host and quality organic hand wash and washing up liquid etc Plenty of space to eat and relax and make it home from home. Great that you can open the gates with a fob when you want to go out and return and lovely garden area to sit out with the apple trees We would definitely stay here again and we highly recommend it to anyone Westbury On Trym is a lively little village which you can walk to easily down the hill where you can pick up groceries and we had fantastic fish and chips from the village Also nice to be just far enough away from the bustle of the city centre but close enough to drive in Very close to the Downs here too Thanks for a comfortable stay."

Very clean and comfortable with everything you could think of for a perfect stay including a beautiful garden to sit in and enjoy. Our host was extremely welcoming and helpful. "Old stables is fantastic place to stay. Extremely clean & comfortable, very well equipped and peaceful. Stephanie is a great host - communication was quick and she went out of her way to be helpful and accommodating. Location perfect for us as close to family but also less than 10 mins walk to the Downs, 30 mins walk to Whiteladies Rd and good buses. Would definitely return."

"We loved our stay here, amazing location! From the street you would not know it was there, then as soon as the gates close behind you, you are in this idyllic walled garden setting, with your own private mini town house to enjoy. We felt so relaxed and snug tucked away with every home comfort and more for the evening. Fabulous stylish interior, super clean, with modern facilties and old world charm combined. We would not hesitate to rebook, and if anyone is visiting because they are going to The Wave Bristol as we were, it is literally a 10 minute drive up the road."

"This was the perfect spot for our in-laws when they came to Bristol recently as they were nearby to look after the kids over half-term but also had their own space. With two of us working from home the space we once had has quickly turned into home-office. Steph and Chris were fantastic hosts, happy to answer any questions no matter how big or small. Hillside Stables was perfectly kitted out for their stay, with plenty of room and everything you could think of - plus a beautiful outdoor space to enjoy a sundowner. I would definitely recommend and hope we can get our diaries to align again for another visit.."

"Loved staying here! Hosts were so accommodating. Beautiful apartment/house, the bed is so comfy, coffee machine an amazing touch, views and location brill, clean and clutter free, nice touches with organic soaps and shampoos, milk on arrival for a brew, all just fab really! Stephanie was lovely to message with any questions and provided us with bits for the baby like a travel cot and nappy bin etc, super helpful. We did come with our 14 month old who is pretty mobile however we just used bits of furniture to block the stair ways and otherwise it was all very safe! Thanks so much for having us :)."

"We had a fantastic stay recently at this home from home destination. We loved it so much we stayed on longer than intended. Every little detail is so quaint and well thought out for this converted stables. Is is small but the simplicity of the refurbishment has made the stables feel more like a space that should be admired for its lack of clutter. It is striped back to the basics and as a family of three we stayed there for a month or so and didn’t feel crammed in. The area has lots to offer and is In a village community with lots of good shops local walks and sightseeing. There is even a bus on the doorstep to take you into town. The kitchen is beautifully equipped as. The beds very comfortable. The owners are delightful and had a nothing is too much trouble attitude. They made our stay so enjoyable by helping us with any needs we had. They provided a sweet little garden to play in with our daughter and we even had an Easter egg delivered to us. They could not have be kinder to us. Ten out of ten fully recommend."

“I really enjoyed our stay and just wished it had been for longer as we were only there one night. Stephanie was extremely helpful, quick to respond and provided lots of information about our stay. The place was exceptionally clean and there were lots of nice touches. Ample kitchen equipment for preparing simple dishes! The bedroom up the stairs is a lovely space, which is wonderfully quiet set far back from the road outside with the double height ceiling and great view of trees out of the window. Additionally it has a very convenient and secure spot for parking. Absolutely great value! "

“A smashing cosy palace with a real touch of class. It is simple yet has everything you need. We really appreciated the little details like sustainable toilet paper and dressing gowns. The bed is like a cloud and the rustic feel of the stable conversion really makes for a unique experience. It comes with access to a beautiful orchard, which was lovely as its a calm place to sit back and have a few drinks after a long day. The hosts are really caring and accommodating people who go out of their way too make sure your stay is perfect...The location is great too- very close to Bristol yet just far away enough for a bit of peace and quiet! Thank you for such a wonderful experience"
